Its mission is to educate and empower impoverished women locally, nationally, and globally, to improve each womanu2019s ability to gain and maintain meaningful sources of earned income, and to assist women in obtaining valuable resources to better their lives. Beginning with those women in the San Bernardino/Inland Empire area of California who demonstrate a willingness to work hard to improve their circumstances, the Alliance will, through the use of an Individual Development Account (IDA) matched savings program, assist eligible women to obtain reliable transportation, achieve sustainable financial independence, and ultimately leave the welfare system. We are currently seeking community partners as well as corporate sponsorship, private funding, and one-on-one sponsors for program participants.
