Dominic Sparkes Email & Phone Number | Having grown up as a budding musician and sound engineer, I attended the prestigious BRIT school in London and by a twist of fate, took a left turn into music industry management and a work experience stint at EMI Records. The work experience turned Into a full-time role and it's hard to believe that I started my career in 1995 at a world-class record label with the only colour PC in the building and the sole connection to the internet. After 4 years as New Media Manager at EMI working with artists such as Pink Floyd and Robbie Williams, I moved to Granada Television, setting up the music content division for their ISP G-Wizz, switching to Head of Production shortly after with a team of 60, creating websites for ITV and their partners such as Arsenal, Boots and Formula 1. In 2002, I co-founded Tempero, one of the world’s first community management companies - two years before Zuckerberg popped up. Having grown the agency to 200 people managing communities in 30 languages for many of the world’s largest brands, we sold to Dentsu Aegis in 2014 and created icuc.social, joining Dentsu’s existing social team and expanding to 400 people globally. In 2019, I decided to hang up my CEO hat, get back into the excitement of new things and spend more with my family. Those new things included opiner.app - a truly awesome video research platform, eeep.app - a travel and influencer discovery platform and ThePeople.work - a youth marketing/DEI consultancy. The community theme continued with a few years at Checkstep - an AI-based moderation platform and now I'm back in human moderation land at Concentrix, one of the world's largest BPO companies with a seriously heavy-hitting Trust & Safety division. Exciting times.
