With over thirty years of direct senior ambulatory care and project management experience in large scale hospital-based and community-oriented primary care networks in the public and private sectors, I have extensive organizational, regulatory and fiscal expertise working in integrated health systems in voluntary hospitals, at the NYCHHC facilities including corporate headquarters, FQHCs and DTCs and with federal, state, city-wide and local agencies, CBOs including faith-based organizations and funders. I have facilitated the launch of innovative primary care and behavioral health programs across the continuum of care, created effective communication strategies to build strong community and physician partnerships, developed an engaged workforce with cultural competency that has improved the patient experience and successfully managed over 50 million in projects and grants in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn. One of the best things about working at Maimonides Medical Center is the chance to work with diverse ethnic communities. Although being a cook is not in my job description, I know that what we eat has a direct impact on our health both in the short and the long term. It is important to offer culturally appropriate nutrition counseling to all of our patients and I am glad that we offer it to the communities we serve. Dinah also serves as a Board member on the New York Association of Ambulatory Care (NYAAC) and Past President.
