Throughout this time, being a well rounded structural engineer has been my main professional motivation, bridges being my favorite challenge. During the time that I have been involved with engineering I have acquired significant design experience, problem solving and communication skills, that allowed me to be a valuable addition to any civil design team. Previous to this professional experience, my schooling and internships resulted in good intuition for solving real life issues, perseverance, and eagerness to learn. Since my first summer internship in Spain while in school, designing precast prestressed girders and panels, I have enjoyed learning civil design and thrived by the idea of becoming an excellent structural Professional Engineer. My latest contributions have been to several design projects for CDOT and the City of Denver, in Colorado, these included the design of bridges, retaining walls, drainage structures, and roadways. I will be taking the PE in approximately one and a half years, and I am eagerly preparing myself for it, while working surrounded by a strong design team and thriveing towards a solid career as a Structural Engineer.
