Diana Stelmack Email & Phone Number | In 1995, I started my career in Florida working with E-Systems on DoD contract work for networking systems. About a year later, my husband and I moved to the Research Triangle Park area in North Carolina for high tech job opportunities. Once settled in North Carolina, I contracted with AIC to work at IBM during the beginnings of Internet commerce. At IBM, I worked on the original IBM Wallet, first doing builds, then creating the software. In 1997, I started working for Nortel Networks in RTP, where I was part of the ISDN development for telephony. As the telephony market started looking to the Internet for a medium, I was part of a team at Nortel that worked to transition the traditional wire-based telephone calls to use Voice over IP. Later, I worked with a different Nortel team to create software to manage the hardware and software needed for VOIP. In 2001, I joined Red Storm Entertainment to use my networking skills in the growing field of online gaming. My first shipped title was the original Ghost Recon on the PC. We transitioned Ghost Recon to ship with the initial release of Xbox Live for Christmas 2002. From there, I spent another 13 years with Red Storm Entertainment shipping many titles on the PC, Xbox consoles, and PlayStation consoles. In 2015, my full attention was needed for my family, so I put my software career on hold. After I left Red Storm, I volunteered in various capacities and took on part time jobs from time to time. I worked for a year and a half as a substitute teacher with WCPSS. In August 2019, I began working as an Administrative Assistant in Cary Academy’s College Counseling Office. In this role, I have drawn from my software experience to work with my coworkers to bring their work habits and interactions with students and parents online. Our office now makes strong use of internal web pages, electronic forms and other software tools to communicate with our families. Since my family has grown and my full focus is no longer required, it is now time for me to return to the world of full-time work. I am eager to dust off my software development skills and apply them once again. Currently, I am seeking a full-time senior level software development or management position in a balanced work-life environment.
