Derek Wallace is a I am currently employed by Taqa as a Production Technician on the Brae Alpha platform, Previously to this I had been working on the Brae Bravo platform where I was involved in all stages, from a producing platform through COP, decommissioning, make safe and disembarkation. Responsible for working in all areas of production including wells, gas compression and utilities. Appointed as an Isolating authority, Gas tester and ERT Team Member. All aspects of production including starting and monitoring RB211 Power-generators, Gas Compressors, Diesel systems, Wells and Seperation trains etc. Prior to working in production I have experience as an offshore pipefitter working on various shut downs, Asset life extension and decommissioning workscopes on ConocoPhillips and Shell platforms. All aspects of pipe fitting including Bolt Tensioning and small bore tubing.
