Deon Email & Phone Number | As a Physician Liaison in Information Technology, I onboard and support over 100 physicians, mid-level providers and their employees as well as ICU intensivists that work remotely. Documentation needs, EMR software management, quality initiatives, and work-flow efficiency are the focus of my efforts. I provide assistance in the hospital and outpatient setting in multiple specialties (oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, obstetrics, gastroenterology, pulmonology, pathology, radiology, urology, pediatrics, bariatrics, primary care, surgical care and pain management.) I have also trained administration and ancillary services employees thru general onboarding as well as continuing education classes. Nursing, patient care technician, company daycare center, and volunteer/student orientations were past responsibilities. Classes that I am qualified to teach include Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, First Aid, Team Stepps, 24-hr. Hospital Decontamination and customer service. Empowering patients to manage their care also brings me great satisfaction. I have served as a patient educator for medical-surgical, intensive care, and perinatal departments and developed curriculums for each. Securing certification for a Diabetes Self-Management Education program was a goal met for my current employer. My experience as a registered nurse resides in the Intensive Care, Emergency, and Medical-Surgical departments. Ancillary roles that I have filled include Patient Advocate and Patient/Staff Educator in the Acute, Ambulatory, and Long-term Care settings. I have served as a director for the following services: Marketing/Public Relations, Foundation, Volunteers, and Education. A past task of mine included assisting in the pursuit to obtain funding from a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for service line and building expansions. I have also worked with multiple city and county governments to accomplish goals. Community service projects, emergency and disaster preparedness, and rural hospital initiatives like telemedicine, stroke, and chest pain accreditations are a few examples of my collaborative efforts. My goals are to use my extensive knowledge and skills from this collective experience to make improvements in quality, customer service, and revenue capture for the consumer and my employer. I believe the best leaders emulate an innovative, supportive, and collaborative leadership style and celebrate talent across an organization.
