Dennis Veltrop Phd is a The main goal of my research is to increase our understanding of behavioural dynamics operating between corporate directors and to gain knowledge on how these dynamics affect governance of organizations. In order to achieve this I incorporate theoretical and methodological insights from the field of organizational behaviour and social psychology in my research on boards of directors. I believe that, for us to truly understand the determinants and consequences of boardroom dynamics, we should not solely rely on publicly available information on financial performance and composition of boards. Rather, corporate governance scholars and practitioners (including directors) will greatly benefit from findings emanating from structured and rigorous research on the actual behavioural dynamics within corporate boards.
