She is also part of the “Buildings for Health” Program a joint initiative of the USGBC and Harvard C.T. Chan School of Public Health to design buildings that enhance the health and well-being of occupants. She also serves on the Sustainability Infrastructure Advisory Board at the Zofnass Program at Harvard University. Deepa serves on various international technical working groups including the committees for the International Code Council (ICC), International Accreditation Service Inc. (IAS), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), the EHS Department of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone authority of Dubai, and other technical committees. Deepa is a trained expert in conformity assessment and product evaluations. She was the technical lead in setting up ICC’s green product evaluation program and involved in developing ICC’s Building Department Accreditation program. Deepa is an internationally recognized assessor for accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies and certifying bodies. Deepa is Past President of ASHRAE South India Chapter and Past National Environment Chair of Young Indians arm of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
