For humans, her passion turned to the science of body – mind earning her BSW and MSW at The College Of Social Work, OSU. Post degrees, Debra studied hypnosis with professionals around the country integrating this skill with other therapy skills and built a private practice, mostly doctor referred. These referrals included immune, cardiac, respiratory, and digestive disorders as well as pain management, anxiety, depression, and general counseling issues. She helped build and lead a mental health agency for 18 years before returning to private practice. Now Debra focuses on educating others about general health and wellness as professionals in both medical and psychiatric professions witnessed significant increases of diseases of mind and body from the 1980’s to today. As medical and psychiatric illnesses increased, her interest returned to the impact of toxins – no longer affecting just aquatic animals, as her father predicted in the 1960’s.
