EM / Pro fee coding and bedside procedures, ICD-10-CM and CPT coding multiple specialties, for example cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, peripheral vascular disease, critical care, pulmonology, hospitalist, ortho, chest medicine, sleep medicine, pathology, radiology, labs, Echo, and ECGs . I strive for excellence and coding accuracy. Shortcuts in coding and documentation review often results in higher costs to the provider, not just in the amount they have to repay but, in the fines, and penalties that follow, therefore, I take accuracy and specificity seriously. I truly enjoy what I do, and I love to learn. I not only maintain my CEUs but due to my hiatus and my own peace of mind (stress reduction), I recently took a few coding courses as well as an insurance course at a local college to keep my skills up to date and to renew or energize my interest and enjoyment of my chosen field, it was totally refreshing. I am interested in working and learning all aspects of coding and billing, insurance, denials/edits and feel that my attention to detail will lend itself well to auditing, There are so many paths and opportunities in this industry that interest me, I would like to find my niche, to master a specialty such as Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, ED, Cardiovascular, Plastics, General Surgery and Ortho, to be able to give my best to my employers, as an expert in my field, and to the patients who deserve correct billing based on the services provided that are accurately documented.
