  Dean Strober is a About Me: I established Blue River Productions in New York City in 1997 for the original purpose of producing ORLANDUS, a biographical theatrical production about the Golden Gate Quartet’s jubilee spirituals and their bass singer Orlandus Wilson. It was a 7-year journey culminating in successful productions, while also building myself a track record of getting things done. Subsequent work included producing, managing, and directing several off-Broadway plays and musicals, serving as the Associate Company Manager on Broadway’s Annie Get Your Gun and Thoroughly Modern Millie, and executing international corporate events for American Express. In addition, for eight years I proudly served as the Executive Director of The Orchard Project, a theatrical writer’s retreat located in upstate New York which I co-founded in 2005. The Orchard Project provides invaluable resources for the development of new plays, musicals, and dance performances that go on to find audiences around the globe. In 2010 my wife Lena and I, along with our infant daughter, moved to Lena’s hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since that time, whether on my own or for valued clients and partners, I have created, planned, or produced nearly 70 large scale festivals representing 20 different festival concepts. The events I have produced have ranged in size from 200 to 21,000 people with five of my annual events regularly appearing on the New Mexico Business Weekly’s list of the state's largest events, as indicated by ** on the lists below.
