David Onorato Cpa Email & Phone Number | David has over 25 years of professional experience spanning multiple industries in both public and private accounting, the majority within the Real Estate industry. After graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting from Babson College, David worked in public accounting for Ernst & Young, LLP. During his time at Ernst & Young, David received his certification as a CPA within the State of Massachusetts. After working as Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller in the early 2000's within the technology space, David moved into the Real Estate Industry working for the Partners Group within AEW Capital Management, L.P., specializing in opportunistic real estate. In 2019, David's role as a Vice President evolved into overseeing the accounting for various sleeves within the group from opportunistic to open-ended to separate account focused as well as implementing/standardizing system and process developments for the broader platform. In 2023, David started a new role as Head of Finance, Senior Vice President; overseeing the 45-member Finance team within PE-Reporting North America group. March 2023 will mark David’s 18-year anniversary with the Firm. David is also a Certified Yoga Instructor, earning his 200 YTT certification from South Boston Yoga in June 2017. Prior to the onset of the pandemic David taught at South Boston Yoga before it closed in 2020 as well as various other locations around the City of Boston. In 2018 and 2019, and most recently in May 2022, David taught a yoga class at the AEW Annual Client Conference. in May of 2022, David also taught classes for two of AEW's Affinity Groups to align with Mental Health Awareness month. David currently teaches a virtual yoga class for Five Doors Yoga on Monday evenings and in person on Tuesday evening at Wave Health Club in Boston, MA. Additionally, over the past four years, David has supported the Yoga Reaches Out collaboration with the Boston Children's Hospital and has raised in excess of 8,000 for the program. David has received multiple AEW Capital Management L.P. Distinguished Service Awards, earning the award in June 2010 and again in December 2013. From 2016 to 2018, David was a member of the AEW Distinguished Service Award Committee. From 2017 to present, David has been a member of the AEW Fun Committee. In 2020, David became a member of the AEW Corporate Giving Committee. David is looking to grow at AEW and within the industry by making new contacts, adding to his current skill set, and continuing to take on exciting and challenging opportunities.
