My early radar experience involved data acquisition design. I then grew into the role of lead software engineer on a multi-mode pulse doppler MTI radar program where I designed and implemented all algorithms involved in antenna stabilization, search, acquisition, track, real beam ground mapping, and air to ground ranging. In 1987 I started my SAR experience at ERIM in Ann Arbor which involved calibration, image formation processing, vector quantization analysis, and responsible engineer on a data transcription IRAD for the DCS platform. In 1994, I joined Loral Corporatin in Goodyear (Lockheed-Martin) and worked in the advanced processing area of special programs where I worked on GMTI STAP algorithm development, designed several polar formatting algorithms including step chirp and bistatic, developed several innovative techniques for special data extraction, and was the lead engineer on all SAR signal simulation tools on all major SAR progams at that Arizona facility.
