  David Henderson is a I am the Director of the Center for Business Research and a Professor of Accounting at the University of Mary Washington. As Director of the Center for Business research, I serve in a client-facing role and develop relationships with organizations in the community to generate leads for custom research projects in various functional areas of business. I also supervise these research projects and assist with data collection, analysis and writing. As Associate Professor of Accounting, I teach Principles of Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Accounting for Decision Making and Control, and Business of U.K. Football. I have accumulated over 20 years of experience in various roles including Assistant/Associate Professor, financial analyst, financial systems developer, and project manager. I hold a Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech, a M.S. in Information Systems from George Washington University, and a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Business Administration from Mary Washington College. I conduct research on Accounting Information System (AIS) technology adoption, data analytics technology adoption, pedagogical issues associated with teaching AIS and Managerial Accounting, and performance measurement. I have published in various journals including the Journal of Information Systems, Managerial Auditing Journal, ISACA Journal, and International Journal of Accounting and Information Systems.
