David Hansen Email & Phone Number | Mr. Hansen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 2005, while helping found the International Institute for Biomedical Research (IIBR), a pharmaceutical research organization that became one of the leaders in the field of obesity and diabetes research. Mr. Hansen earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with honors at the University of Texas, School of Law, in 2011. While at the University of Texas, School of Law, he became the Technology Editor of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. He was also awarded the Deanu2019s Achievement Award for Advocacy Survey, won the Championship of the Mediation Competition, and was a semi-finalist in Intermediate Mock trial. Mr. Hansen was fortunate to extern with Justice Patti Kitching of the California Court of Appeals, 2nd District, intern with Judge Cheryl Johnson of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, and intern with the Harris County District Attorneyu2019s Office. He served as a Teacheru2019s Assistant to Prof. Calvin Johnson in numerous tax classes. Throughout law school, Mr. Hansen continued his affiliation with IIBR and played an integral role in the sale and merger of the company into a large Chinese contract research organization. After law school, Mr. Hansen earned his L.L.M. in Taxation from NYU in 2012 before joining the International Health Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization which spun off from IIBR during the sale, as their tax advisor. He also worked with the Social Security Administration as an Attorney Advisor before joining ScottHulse in October 2013.
