At different points in my career, I moonlighted as an Associated Press-trained beat reporter covering city hall and local schools and as an exotic animal educator conducting hands-on live animal programs. A military veteran, I have three years of experience in physical and data security, military communications, cryptography, and intelligence in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) under a Top Secret/Specialized compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance as an Aerographer’s Mate Second Class in the United States Navy.
