David Eckhoff Email & Phone Number | Dr David Eckhoff is a Principal Scientist and the director of the simulation laboratory at TUMCREATE, which has been developing the City Mobility Simulator, a high-performance digital twin solution for city-scale transport systems. David received his Ph.D. in degree in Computer Science in 2016 at the University of Erlangen. His research on simulation technologies and data privacy in intelligent transport systems was nominated for best PhD thesis in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In 2016 he was a visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne, Australia. In October 2016, he joined TUMCREATE in Singapore. In 2021, he initiated the Mobility in Virtual Environments at Scale (MoVES) lab, a joint innovation laboratory with Huawei to push the boundaries of largescale microscopic simulation with CityMoS, the City Mobility Simulator. In 2021, he co-founded intobyte Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based start-up to undertake commercial activities in the context of computational modelling, with a focus on using the simulation software CityMoS.
