David Bower Email & Phone Number | David is firmly rooted in the wine business. From Upstate New York, David grew up in his family’s vineyards, winery and tasting room. He attended Cornell University to study Plant Sciences, and Viticulture & Enology. He started at Surry Community College in January 2012 as the Enology Instructor. While teaching at SCC, he pursued a Masters Degree from Missouri State University in Plant Sciences and Enology, studying red wine color relationships in North Carolina’s red wines. Outside of SCC, David is an active member of the NC Wine community and runs a small consulting firm specializing in wine and winery identities. In addition, David teaches for VESTA (the Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance), and Sonoma State University in their Wine Business Programs. David believes in an open and engaging classroom, firmly rooted in feedback and community-driven shared learned experiences.
