  Dave Peck is a Of most importance to me is that I am the father of three amazing children and am happily married to my beautiful wife and life partner, Michelle. In my professional life, I'm an exploration geologist, first and foremost, but have acquired a lot of other skills during my (so far!) 30 years of working as a geoscientist. I have been fortunate to work in all 3 key sectors including academe (e.g., several years as a research scientist at Laurentian University and Adjunct Professor at the University of Manitoba), government (e.g., spent 7 years as a Senior Mineral Deposits Geologist at the Manitoba Geological Survey) and - over the past 2 decades, industry (Falconbridge, Anglo American, North American Palladium and Grid Metals). My primary specialty resides in magmatic sulfide deposits and, more specificaly, in developing and applying exploration methods, understanding their genesis and assessing their value. I've had the pleasure of working with many of the world's foremost experts in nickel-copper-PGE deposit exploration, mining and research including Dr. Reid Keays, Dr. Jon Scoates, Dr. Mike Lesher, Mr. Gordon Chunnett, Dr. Larry Hulbert and Dr. Jeff Foster. Over the years I've started, owned and managed several private exploration and geoscience consulting companies including White Cap Exploration and Revelation Geoscience. I've published or co-authored a number of papers in leading geoscience journals and co-authored several 43-101 technical reports including PEAs and PFS studies. My career highlights include travelling the world to visit many of the world-class nickel sulfide, PGM and nickel laterite deposits with Anglo American plc; working as part of an amazing Senior Management Team and with many highly skilled engineers and geologists at North American Palladium where we completed an incredible turnaround of the Lac des Iles mine; publishing of my personal views on applying value-based exploration strategies for magmatic ore deposits (Ore Geology Reviews, 2015); Leading a multi-disciplinary, multi-million dollar study of the Thompson Nickel Belt (CAMIRO project 97E-02); and spending several years running 'old school' remote field programs in northern Manitoba - where I learned much about bush craft and survival. I am currently focused on helping Grid Metals transition from a small cap explorer to a mid cap developer of both magmatic sulfide and hard rock lithium critical metals projects in Manitoba.
