Kenyon Professor Kenyon joined the Sierra College Astronomy Department in July, 2000, after working in industry and serving as an adjunct professor since 1984. With Electrical Engineering degrees from DeVry Institute of Technology and Stanford University as well as a teaching credential in Astronomy and Astrophysics. He is the Astronomy Department Chair. He has contributed to many International Astronomy organizations as well as publishing a book in 2001, Practical Astronomical Photometry. Professor Kenyon is also a member of the Technical Advisory Panel for Tripoli, the national high power rocketry association. Professor Kenyon has been involved in Total Quality Management (TQM) consulting at the executive level with a variety of Fortune 500 companies. During his 25 year career at Hewlett Packard, he held engineering and management positions in research and development, manufacturing, and corporate quality. His technology background includes systems, networking, personal computers and communications and image processing. He has also been involved in management/leadership training and consulting for over 30 years. In his current alliance with Athena Consulting, his primary focus areas are strategic planning, business process re-engineering, leadership training and quality, as well as technology deployment and manufacturing engineering. He has provided consulting services in many industries including high technology, automobile manufacturing, defense, air transportation and higher education which included re-engineering efforts, strategic planning, and TQM consulting with senior-level management. A member of the ASQC and IEEE, he has authored articles and papers on numerous subjects including product introduction management, software quality, QFD, strategic planning, and re-engineering, as well as CCD imaging and telescope design and control.
