I founded Novosound 5 years ago, but previously, I was the Research Theme Leader in Ultrasound Imaging for the University of The West of Scotland. My research group researched High Frequency Ultrasound imaging and its applications to biomedical and NDT sciences. This included photacoustics, imaging applications (conventional pulse-echo and quantitative imaging) and also particle manipulation techniques. Targets that I looked at included dental caries, diabetic foot disease, breast cancer, retina and skin.
