I am used to managing and approving large datasets (e.g. LiDAR) using geoprocessing tools in Python, as well as converting data from one format to another also in Python. All datasets and associated metadata are updated regularly as required, exceeding common standards. I have led on numerous flood forecasting and warning projects, developing systems from scratch into fully operational and dependable decision support tools. These projects have included developing flood models in a variety of software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, PDM, Delft 3D, SWAN. In addition, I have extensive Delft-FEWS system configuration experience as a modular forecasting platform. I have wide-ranging experience in the insurance sector both in the UK and Australia, with a focus on environmental perils, catastrophe modelling & associated analysis, household product pricing, and reinsurance, inc. presenting geographic insurance data to Directors and CEOs, as well as geospatial and statistical modelling and analysis for real-time exposure liabilities during major environmental events.
