Then returned to Guisborough in 87 and took up a position in Blackett Hutton steel founders and finishers where I served 6 years as a NDT technician to ASNT level 2, MPI and dye pen. Gaining my qualifications through ( OIS ) oil field inspection services ( Lavender international NDT Sheffield ). 1993 I trained as a heavy plant operator through ( C.I.T.B ) construction industry training board categories include rear tipping articulated and ridged dump trucks, 180 degree backhoe, 360 degree wheeled and tracked excavator. ( Q.P.T.C / E.P.I.C ) quarry plant training council, loading shovel and dump truck certification. 2001 to 2006 I was employed as a plant manager however made redundant in 2006. Then went self employed and built my own small plant hire business to present day.
