In 1999, Daren started CATALYST Consulting, LLC., a consulting firm specializing in providing executive leadership, operational management, product and strategy development, and deployment for start-ups and small to medium-size businesses. He served a variety of C-Level, advisory, and Ownership roles He returned to college to earn a B.S. degree in Science, Health & Living Systems from John F. Kennedy University and then transitioned into the MBA program. (Strategic Management) Daren was recruited by Velocity Express, as their Chief Account Officer, to build their national account management program. Daren’s adeptness in cross-functional management and ability to activate the latent potential in businesses and individuals has earned him respect and recognition as a strong business leader and subject matter expert in his field. In 2009, he became Co-Owner of Two Eagles Corp., a holding company located at Pier 39 in Fisherman’s Wharf. Daren led the development of their retail store, launching a Kite & Toy shop that grew to become 3rd largest in the world. In the latter stages of this time with Two Eagles, Daren simultaneously served in key positions in the logistics industry. He was the Sr. VP of Operations for Strategic Delivery Solutions and later, COO at Stallion Express. Daren credits much of his success to his mentor "John", who believed in him from the very beginning, taught him about being an empathetic leader, creating a “culture of care” and the importance of focusing on the customer experience. When not at work, Daren enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer, wake-surfing, and traveling.
