Danny Gard Email & Phone Number | I am currently the working as a Senior Overhead Line Project Engineer on the Crossrail Anglia project, the project includes the modifications to the existing Overhead Line layout to suit the needs of the New Crossrail Lines that tie into both the East and Westbound tunnels at Pudding Mill Lane. My main role is over see the engineering and construction of the upgrade from the Booster Classic system to the new AT system thus allowing Crossrail to run a new improved timetable. As part of my role on Crossrail Anglia I manage a team of engineers to monitor progress and raise any technical queries that come with the challenges of upgrading the first electrified lines in the UK. The role requires me to work closely with both our contractors and the Network Rail engineering teams to ensure works and the designs are integrated with the traction power scheme. The role requires me to undertake design reviews from IDC to form B to ensure the works are both deliverable from a construction and engineering perspective and follow current Network Rail standards. Some of my responsibilities include the production of isolation diagrams instructions in line with the construction programme, review and add DRN comments on design production, manage our contractors ensure scope is being delivered in line with programme, cost and safely, attend staging meetings with various parties including the route asset managers team and produce documentation from AMP right through to health and safely files. I started as a trainee lineman in 2006 in which it become evident that I had a particular enjoyment and interest in functionality in the overhead line system which would lead to a progression through the field. I have spent my entire working life to date 11 years as of 2018) working on railway projects, all them exclusively in OLE. I enjoy the bespoke challenges that come with this discipline, from conception to delivery, coupled with a genuine joy and interest in my field.
