In some recent personal development exploration, I implemented a simple light weight real-time reliable messaging server with Akka, and since then I have taken on a trading system that is implemented with Java with AkkaCluster. I have also been playing with data science workflows with Python in the Google Cloud Platform. I was a Technical Team Lead for the 8+ years at Phoenix HSL, recently taking on an Architect role becoming more focused on the technical side and less so on team member managememt. I have also held technical lead roles in previous positions. I enjoy driving quality and continuous improvement within the team, I am adept at managing performance of team members, and have learnt to set team norms and expectations early, and to enforce them consistently and firmly. I also maintain a level head under pressure.
