Blast restrictions were imposed because of a conveyor belt feeding the power station was 50m from the area to be blasted. Area was blasted without incidents. • Grade gap project at Kloof Gold mine. Projects aim was to establish reasons for grade loss of 3 grams per ton and to improve. Team managed to recover 1.5 grams per ton through innovative thinking and new innovative blasting techniques.
