I often photograph or video events and weddings. Making portraits of people is something I do a fair amount of as well. When I can, I love getting out in nature and making images of landscapes, but I find it especially rewarding to capture the small details that can be easily overlooked. As a teacher, I thoroughly enjoy helping people learn new things. It's particularly meaningful when I help someone learn that they can be creative. In my teaching position, and with the work I do as a photographer, I spend a lot of time using and learning new technology. It's fun to see what's possible with image creation as technology reaches new levels of sophistication. I enjoy learning and teaching how to use new applications. I love everything about creativity: observation, curiosity, problem solving, inspiration, expression, patience, perseverance, experimentation, courage; all of the qualities that go into any creative endeavor.
