  Dan Santiso is a "Born to Drive!". That was always my go-to answer during childhood as the when asked the age old question of what I wanted to do when I grew up. Since my dad was a mechanic, I grew up fascinated with cars. Whether that was working on them or grinning behind the wheel of a 97 Ford Aerostar on the windy roads around Pittsburgh PA. All that changed when I say the words "Mechanical Engineering" next to a clip art picture of a Formula 1 car at a career fair in middle school. From that day forward my sights were set on becoming a Mechanical Engineer in the Automotive Industry. I attended Cedarville University for Mechanical Engineering and put my growing knowledge of engineering and passion for driving towards their SuperMileage team and even organized a group of fellow students to get Formula SAE started for my senior design project. While volunteering through our school's SAE chapter I was able to network and landed 2 amazing internships at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America . It was here where my vision of what I wanted to do when I grew up, really become a reality. After 10 years of setting my sights on becoming an Automotive Engineer, I graduated Cedarville University and started my career as an Automotive Engineer at Honda. In my 8+ years of working at Honda, I've worked in the Steering Performance group and then transitioned to the Chassis Development group where I still am, taking the fast changing schedules, balancing costs/weight, managing the logistics of the needed people, proving grounds, and test vehicles to give our customers the best ride and handling Honda/Acura vehicles that I can. So now in Industry, my original passion remains just altered slightly. Not only do I get to drive vehicles, but I get to use engineering to make them ride and drive better everyday, and I get to do that by creatively managing all the logistics to make sure all aspects of the car are optimized for the experience of our customers. My career highlights so far are Chief of Steering Performance for the 2018 Honda Odyssey and Chief of Chassis Development for Vehicle Dynamics for the new Honda/Acura Light Duty Truck platform that underpins the 2022 Acura MDX.
