In South Africa, I host numerous DP World Tour and Sunshine Tour events, and have hosted the Sport Industry Awards, Dimension Data Pro-am, Cape Wine Auction, Protea World Cup farewell and JP Morgan Corporate Challenge amongst others. As well as 18 years with the Absa Cape Epic, I’ve worked regularly with brands including DHL, Vodacom, adidas, Absa, MTN, MasterCard, Investec, FNB, Sanlam, and BMG. I also serve as a brand ambassador for BVLGARI, TaylorMade and Airlink, and work with Mercedes Benz. A growing wine media and event platform, Dan Really Likes Wine presents two live shows and one magazine show each week. Featuring winemakers, producers, critics and industry figures from around the world, the show has been broadcast live from Greece, England, Ireland, Scotland and venues across South Africa, and has partnered in numerous live launches with Ellerman House, Boschendal, Cape Wine, the Chenin Blanc Association and the Fine and Rare Wine auction, amongst others. I also host small private wine dinners and events for corporate clients. A firm believer in giving back, I'm a proud ambassador for the Laureus Sport For Good Foundation, and have visited Laureus projects in Rio de Janeiro, New York, Nairobi, London and Belfast, as well as within South Africa. I have also worked closely with MAD, songo.info, The iThemba Trust, The Kirsty Watts Foundation, Rotary, The Chris Burger Petro Jackson Players Fund, and the Police Widows and Orphans Fund, amongst others, and sit on the Gauteng EXCO of Reach For A Dream. I’ve also raised considerable sums of money as a charity auctioneer for the Cape Wine Auction and Art Angels amongst others. I also write for various publications as time allows, and won the 2012 PICA Magazine Columnist of the Year, and am the co-author of two books.
