  Dan Beckett is a I have been a PCB designer at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory for over 25 years. Working in the Detector Electronics Division, I have designed and managed manufacture of many boards of a vast range of complexity from small double-sided connector cards to 20+ layer data acquisition boards with thousands of components, from flexi-rigid boards to HDI interposer designs. The scope of my work includes Cadence library management and development, schematic entry, layout and routing using Allegro Constraint Manager, some simulation. I also manage the contacts with PCB manufacturers and CEMs, so that I am just one point of contact for the production of electronic instrumentation. Recent work is on interposers for array connection and RDL between ASICs and sensors, plus some mask design using KLayout.
