I dreamed of being an architect as a kid and went on to study architectural engineering at one of the top programs in the country. I don't work in the realm of architecture anymore, but it's framed a lot of how I think. As a kid, I convinced my dad to help me build a treehouse. For a 10 year old, it was everything you could want. It was high up in the trees with a rope swing, but that wasn't enough for me. While my dad was out of town for work, I decided to build a 2nd floor. Why not make it bigger & better? So I scrounged around for scrap wood and built a 2nd floor on a treehouse. I was 10. While my dad was panicked when he returned, fearing structural stability, and consequences of the stolen wood :), it was a perfectly stable 2nd floor that wasn't tall enough for anyone over the age of 13. The above is how I treat my career. I will build things... I will make what you have better. If you don't think it needs improvement, I'll still try and build it better. I am happiest when innovating & learning new things. Whether it's creating a new concept or brand, or even devising a new way to run & manage a business, I am driven to find find a bigger, better, or faster way to do something. Classically trained to run businesses & run brands owning all aspects of marketing from innovation to media, to activation. I have managed Brand P&Ls worth over 330MM in retail sales, briefed & developed multiple brand campaigns and brand positioning, crafted concepts & launched innovations in beauty care and in natural foods. Prior to Unilever, I launched & opened a concept store, managed DTC & Loyalty incentive programs, and was a category buyer across multiple portfolios at retail reaching 480MM in annual retail sales. With nearly 20 years marketing experience from concept development all the way to retail execution, I bring a unique perspective to marketing, having led innovation development, created campaigns, managed brands, worked on a subscription DTC startup, and even managed category portfolios as a grocery buyer. I build plans that cross the full funnel, from awareness to conversion. It's not growth vs brand. It's both.
