Cynthia's initial experience on Seventh Ave, came during a three year tenure as a member of Donna Karan's design team. The Cynthia Steffe collection debuted a few years later,and grew to become an anchor brand in the contemporary department of luxury specialty and depart- ment stores throughout the country, and internationally. After 17 years, at the peak of it's suc- cess, the brand was sold to a large publicly traded company. Since leaving her namesake brand, Cynthia has consulted for a variety of International, and American companies looking to elevate their product offerings and merchandising plans. She has been instrumental in the launch of new brands, reinvigorating existing brands, and devel- oped unique product for private label collections. Her clients have included designer start ups, large specialty chains, department stores, and big box retailers. During the past three years, she has served exclusively as Creative director of a large multinational apparel manufacturer, with particular emphasis on developing new brands for Target Corp.
