Crystal Blank is a As the Program Manager for Safety and ACR Accreditation, I communicate safety events to stakeholders and sit of several committees reviewing Safety events within the institution. I also track trends and review best practices for process improvement, improved outcomes, and High Reliability. I have participated in several reviews looking at Apparent Cause Analysis as well as Root Cause Analysis and assisted in the development and implementation of action plans. I believe in the mission of High Reliability and I have a passion for patient safety. I feel lucky to be a part of an organization that encourages speaking up for the safety of patients and staff. I have developed scripts, spreadsheets, tools, process improvements, power point presentations for Residents regarding MR Safety and I coach other staff on how to improve patient safety. I have great ambition with the ability to learn quickly and the desire to succeed in all tasks. My experiences in hospitals and clinics of different sizes has given me great flexibility and ability to hit the ground running. I am very detail oriented and work well individually or in a team setting. In March 2018, I obtained my certification as a MRSO from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety. This certification has given me a deeper understanding of MR Physics and has deepened my understanding of determining Risk vs Benefit when evaluating patient safety for MRI.
