Developing people to maximize their potential is something that I take pride in and that is why I have such an appreciation for my current position at Starbucks and my past position at Potbelly Sandwich Works. As a General Manager at Potbelly, I lead all the new hire orientations for our district. It was up to me to set the tone for these new employees on how life would be working for our company. I introduced them to our culture and provided them with all the information they would need to be successful. Being organized and well prepared as a presenter allowed me to succeed in this aspect and I have received feedback on how my orientations were fun, engaging and overall well done One of my biggest accomplishments at Potbelly was helping to open 3 new markets. These markets included: Indiana, New York and Kuwait. I was tasked with teaching new employees on how we operate as well as educating them on our products and our company culture. Working in Kuwait was a challenging experience due to the fact that I had to learn the culture of the Middle East before I taught them our culture and this helped me grow as an individual. The people in Kuwait were very welcoming and appreciated my approach to coaching them. Starbucks is where I currently work and my current position is Shift Supervisor. I started as a Store Manager but decided to step down to accomplish my goal of finishing school and getting my degree. Starbucks offers tuition reimbursement which is a big reason why I made the switch from Potbelly. What I love about my roles at Starbucks (Past and present) is helping the team succeed. I am dedicated to teamwork and helping people be their best selves. I enjoy the hiring process and helping partners succeed in their journey with us. Interacting with customers and seeing partners utilize the skills they learned is something that I really enjoy. I have met so many amazing people and I am grateful for all the opportunities this company has given me. Overall, I really enjoy the positions I have held as well as my current position. Helping co-workers succeed and developing their skills are proud moments for me. I have been in operations for pretty much my entire working career starting as a part time employee working my way up to management. This his had a very positive impact on my life and I am very grateful. With that said, I am looking to see what things are like on the corporate side of things and that is why I am currently looking for a new position.
