As an avid surfer and snowboarder, I am extremely passionate about conserving these awe-inspiring natural spaces for people to enjoy for generations to come. I have experience in customer service, leadership, event planning, research and problem solving. In 2018, I was the Lead Event Coordinator of the Every 15 Minutes Program at Millikan Highschool. I coordinated with CHP, local law enforcement and first responders, local news, hospitals, mortuaries, hotels, etc. in order to put on a realistic car crash scene on campus to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving. I have worked part-time alongside school since I was 16 years old and have developed smooth and efficient customer service skills. In food service I received a management position where I gained leadership and team management skills. I have conducted kangaroo rat wildlife research under Dr. Debra Shiers and Dr. Greg Grether to help kangaroo rat conservation in Southern California. I have also volunteered with Best Buddies for over 7 years building relationships and communication with special needs students at Millikan High School and UCLA. I currently work as a sustainability consultant with the Aquarium of the Pacific (partnered with UCLA IOES) and work as a lab assistant at BelCosta Labs.
