In my time as a software developer, I've tackled thorny design and implementation challenges, from architecting microservices for a multi-million user application to creating a next generation e-reader platform. Having consistently worked across the full stack, I see each engineering project holistically. Software does not function in isolation, nor should it be created in isolation. I see the stack in terms of layers, much like the layers of computer networking; understanding and definition of these layers is critical to maximizing the efficiency and lifespan of the product. In my experience the needs of the software should determine the tools and methodologies used, and continuous learning is imperative. While I've recently been working with NodeJS/Typescript and Python, I've worked extensively with other languages, including Java/Spring, C++, PHP, Perl, and Actionscript. My goal is to continue pushing the bounds of technology through meaningful creation; building products that solve real needs, bring true inspiration, and benefit real people.
