Prior to public accounting, I worked in private accounting for more than 3 years. Throughout my career, I've assisted clients with various aspects of their annual financial reporting, helped new clients with restatements of their prior year financial statements and provided guidance on the implementation of several new accounting pronouncements. My experience includes testing a variety of federal grant programs as well as providing and participating in various single audit, governmental and nonprofit training events. I am currently a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, UNO School of Accounting Advisory Board, and UNO College of Business Recent Alumni Advisory Board. I previously served on the Nebraska Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Leadership Team and Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. In addition, I act as a mentor to University of Nebraska-Omaha College of Business Scholar Academy Students and am actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America. I was named one of the Midland Business Journals' 40 Under 40 winners in 2020 and am a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 45.
