Col. (Ret.) Malebranche served 31 Years in the U.S. Army as an active duty soldier, nurse, senior health systems analyst and program manager in various clinical and administrative roles. Her last active duty assignment was in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, where she was the Director of the Programs and Benefits Directorate at the TRICARE Management Activity. Previous assignments include: Chief, TRICARE Division, U.S. Army Medical Command; Ft. Sam Houston/Office of the Surgeon General, Chief Nurse, Joint Task Force Bravo, Honduras; Ft. Campbell; Ft. Rucker; Ft. Ord; Ft. Gordon; Hawaii and Korea. She has presented at numerous conferences on Managed Care, Resource Management, TRICARE, and the National Association of State Veteran Homes, where she served as the Chairperson-elect and consultant on the Board of the Armed Forces Veterans Home Foundation. Col. (Ret) Malebranche entered the U.S. Army from her home in Helena, Montana. She received her civilian undergraduate degree from the University of Portland, OR , and graduate degree from Vanderbilt University , Nashville, TN. She is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and received numerous military and civilian awards for her service as a soldier and advanced practice nurse.
