Joint team with General Electric under supervision of Total E&P Angola coordinator, fifty-six people (day and night shift). Tasks: • Preventive maintenance level 4 and 5 on turbine and auxiliaries, • Generator rotor pull out, isolation control and isolating painting carried out, • Daily Report to onshore management, • Organize logistic for SPIE crew with assistance of Total coordinator.Context: On behalf of “Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique” (based in Cadarache) part of the Pellet-Clad Interaction study. This study aims to have a better understanding of the nuclear fuel behaviour in power plant conditions. Tasks: • Bibliographic review of Uranium Dioxide mechanical behaviour, • Identification of specific crack paths in uranium dioxide pellets, • Remaining stress calculation within uranium dioxide samples by X-Rays diffraction. Material Used: X-Rays diffraction.Context: In Oxford, in the Joint European Torus (currently world's largest nuclear fusion reactor), the “ITER-like Wall” project aims to replace the carbon plasma facing components by tungsten tiles. Thus the reflected light by the metallic wall affects plasma diagnosis. Tasks: • Software development to predict the effect from metallic wall materials on spectroscopic diagnosis, with assistance of UKAEA physicists, • Processing CAD parts to be inputted to the developed software. Material Used: for programming: Interactive Data Language (IDL), for CAD: CATIA V5.
