Ciaron Conroy is a I have a wide range of experience within the petrol/chemical industry and power industry, with a variety of onshore and off-shore projects both within the United Kingdom and overseas with also experience with in a machine shop environment as well as on site environment. I have gained a range of experience in MPI, DPI, UT, Radiography and welding inspection/QA/QC work, involving reviewing isometrics, tracing pipelines, report writing, requesting NDT work and the testing of welders and welder qualifications in addition to setting and establishing welding procedures. Working with exotic materials such as duplex, titanium and super duplex getting to know the there flaws and strengths. Types of jobs I have worked on are on and off shore pipe lay, on and offshore topside installation, on shore jacket fabrication, LNG terminals and trains/refineries, maintenance on oil refineries, fabrication subsea well heads on shore, ship dock yard work on refitting, inspection of manifolds, fabrication and inspection of subsea valves and risers, and maintenance of oil production vessels. The experience I have gained I have used my Senior Welding Inspection ticket to place me in these positions, through some research I have found that I have been working very closely to a Plant Inspector in some roles. Having found this I then completed and ASME Plant Inspectors Course to fill in the pieces that I was not familiar with of which I have completed Level 1 and hope to complete Level 2 in the near future. I have also in my time have been involved in the decommissioning of various topsides and jackets in the North Sea of which my duties were slightly varied to my normal work scope. • Have a good working knowledge of PSSRs : SI 128, API 510 Pressure Vessels, API 570 Piping • Experience in refineries, onshore pipe lay, offshore pipe lay, hook ups, jacket installation, LNG Plants, topside construction, coal fired power stations.
