Christopher Wright Email & Phone Number | Hello! Thank you for viewing my profile. Throughout my education, I've developed a passion for computers, how they operate and the opportunities they enable. In high school, I took advantage of the schools coding program to learn Python and created text-based adventure games. I also built my own desktop computer which I still use to this day. At Cal Poly, I've had the opportunity to extend my experience in both hardware and software computing. Outside of class, I am actively working to improve my skills by participating in both clubs and personal projects. I am currently an officer in CPGD (the Cal Poly Game Design club) and actively participate in deciding the schedule and organizing presentations for the club members. Most recently, I have completed an internship with CommScope. I am very grateful for the opportunity to connect with the incredible people there and to gain great professional experience and long lasting memories. During the internship, I completed three projects integrated in triweekly scrums. All of these projects improved manageability for existing Ruckus devices and provided a wealth of experience in both frontend and backend development. Currently I am working on my Capstone project, a smart irrigation system capable of taking input from iPhone and apple watch via AWS services. The device uses a ESP WROVER-32B microcontroller and is capable of operating a master valve and twelve sprinkler lines. For this project I am working as the main firmware designer for the ESP32. The device is currently in active development and I am looking forward completing its feature set in the coming quarter. I am excited and looking forward to furthering my experience through a challenging internship in hardware or software engineering.
