Christopher Mackos Email & Phone Number | I’ve been creating video content professionally since 2010 when I graduated Fitchburg State University completing a BS in Communications Media with a Film and Video Production concentration. I started my career as a freelance web video editor for Comcast SportsNet New England where I began to hone my post production skills. In 2011, I began to develop my eye behind the lens of a camera as I freelanced for Wales Films as a cinematographer and editor of high end wedding films in the Boston area. There is no better way to refine your skills as a cinematographer than in a high pressure environment like the wedding industry. You get one chance at the shot and you better nail it. I moved into the corporate, product, and educational film sector in 2013 as I began working for the Acton, MA based company DigiNovations. Here I began to dive into the shaping, crafting and capturing of light as I became the company’s Director of Photography in 2014. At the same time I also took on the role of Production Manager learning how to wrangle the day to day operations of a small production team including managing the shop’s calendar, prep and fixing of in house gear and fibre channel SAN implementation and management in a small business environment. In early 2017 I began taking on a Producer role at DigiNovations, interfacing with clients in a more creative and guiding capacity. When I’m not working or creating I am a Husband, father to 2 dogs and adventurer. I’m a lover of the outdoors and am always hiking, biking, camping and climbing my way somewhere. My favorite place to be is on a trail in the woods or on top of some mountain just soaking in the moment. After all, that’s what everything in life is about, the moments, and that carries into my career and the films I create. It’s all a series of moments captured and edited in a certain order and rhythm to portray a crafted message to the viewer; hopefully eliciting an emotional connection in the process.
