The experience I have gained on the operational level has enabled me to become a subject matter specialist in the field of demurrage and have allowed me to be an effective sourcing and contracting specialist of marine services. In my current role key deliverables are in ensuring sustainable supply of marine services in the dry bulk and chemical bulk portfolios, optimisation of spend in this category as well as taking the lead in implementing processes for the successful recovery of demurrage in all of Sasol's global regions. I believe in constant learning and challenge oneself by exploring areas of least knowledge and tackling it head on. Words that I live by is that no man is an island-we are all here for each other and we all need to work with each other, not against.
