As landlord of several properties in different states, I’ve managed properties and contracts. I’m an LCSW licensed in Illinois, Maryland, SC, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Arkansas to provide individual and group therapy. Since the pandemic, I’ve provided therapy online as a second job own a Private Practice, Empower Counseling and Coaching, PLLC. As a second job, I have the opportunity to offer clients session times outside of normal work hours. I love helping people empower themselves to take control of their emotional and physical lives! I especially enjoy working with those suffering with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Relationships complicated by cultural differences, generational misunderstandings, or a history of poor communication patterns can be improved. I work with a lot of ADHD issues. I use client-centered, strengths-based psychotherapy. In my free time, I love doing Boot Camp, going out with friends, biking, writing, reading, and learning how things work. YouTube is the best innovation for DIY-ers! Love fixing things at home. I live in Wheaton, Illinois with my husband, Michael, who is an Executive Recruiter, and I have two sons. Simon recently was graduated with a Masters in Accounting from University of Arkansas, and Ryan will be in his Junior year at Ole Miss as a Psychology major, playing club baseball. We have two dogs. Kirby is a 15 lb. Chug, and Sammy is a recently rescued cairn terrier who lived six years in a puppy mill. He is definitely a work in progress!
