As the son of a German immigrant & French Canadian growing up in rural Ontario Canada, The Schenk family started and operated several technology & industrial businesses. Following a successful exit, Schenk went on to co-found North American based SelectCore, a leading provider in prepaid wireless and payments. In 2010 following the acquisition of portfolio company Turnpike Global, Schenk joined the executive team of XATA, a NASDAQ listed company where he was tasked with integrating three business units, brands and customers into a single technology stack. Following the successful migration of the businesses and technology the company changed its name to XRS and sold to competitors for 187M. In 2016 Schenk went on to start what would become North America’s largest truck driver community and advertising platform, ONE20. ONE20 was sold to technology giant Trimble in late 2017. In 2018 Schenk took his technology background to the emerging cannabis market where he founded Driven Deliveries a online ecommerce and direct to consumer cannabis delivery company. After moving out to LA Schenk quickly led the company through 3 acquisitions, a public offering and aggressive growth. As CEO Schenk sold Driven Deliveries to Florida based STEM Holdings for 42M. The transaction closed in October 2020, 16 months after taking the helm with a small staff of 9. After taking a year off; Schenk saw an opportunity to contribute to the waste reduction efforts of the evolving apparel industry. Schenk joined forces with Citizen-T in early 2022 as an advisor and later assumed the role as CEO in April 2022. As CEO Schenk quickly scaled the organization's inbound and outbound logistics capabilities as well as launched several new technologies to help improve the experiences of buying, wearing and experiencing Citizen-T clothing. Today Citizen-T is leading several mainstream collaborations with celebrities such as Billie Eilish, Steven Tyler, Lorde, Mendes and more. The company is on track to rescue 1.4M garments from US landfills this year and save over 2 Billion gallons of water!
