After graduating from the Space and Aeronautics Engineering School in Toulouse, he joined the French Navy as Lieutnant and had his first operational mission on board the aircraft carrier Clemenceau during the Lebanon war in 1984. Before being appointed within MATRA company in 1989, he graduated at the Business administration College in Paris with Finance as his mainstream teaching.
