I am in my 25th year as a physical education teacher, and all 25 years have been in elementary education and at the same school. I am very dedicated and persistent. I have also worked part-time for 30 years as a wellness coach/personal trainer/group fitness instructor at many local fitness clubs in the DFW area. I enjoy working with adults and teens of all ages; as well as the diversity and ethnicity of our community. I have developed a passion for helping others and bringing people together. I understand the importance of feeling a sense of belonging. I want to help as many people in the community. I have attended, participated in, and led many professional development sessions that focus on positive activities, including health and fitness seminars, student data, small group instruction, large group instruction, and student-centered activities. As a Physical Education Teacher and a Fitness Coach, I will use my experiences and knowledge of educational practices to encourage collaboration among the community, workplaces and families to help develop a healthy growth mindset.
