  Chris Regner is a My career path and professional resume is intentionally broad-based because I am most excited by creativity, new challenges, and collaboration. One gig or position has always evolved into the next, and I've gladly followed the evolution of my skill sets. My resume and background in media production is all-encompassing. I started as a volunteer PA on commercials in LA, and worked my way all the way up to being the lead producer for a feature-length SAG film. As production evolved, so did I. It used to be you could specialize in a single department, if you had a particular interest or gift, but once media went digital, it was expected that having a camera meant doing everything. I love writing, and spent time as a professional Press Secretary, plus as a screenwriter in Hollywood. However, once I became a TV news videographer, it was the norm to have to shoot, light, edit, and handle everything related to telling a visual story (with sound), all by myself, in any weather condition, at any time of day. From that experience I still have the technical knowledge to film anything, regardless of circumstance, but what it taught me most of all is that I love storytelling, and I'm at my best under extreme pressure...like having to be on-air at exactly 5:01PM for the evening news. Above all else, I have the mindset of a Producer. Producing is ultimately about problem solving & risk mitigation, often under immense pressure from external forces. A Producer's top priority on every project (after safety), should be to get all the necessary footage, without flaws, while staying on-time & under budget. The hidden difficulty of producing is scaling up or down to match budget, quality standards, and/or client demands. That's where the diversity of my background shines, because I've seen media from all sides. As a press secretary I had to get journalists to run with stories. Inside the TV station I saw which stories made the air, and as someone who worked in cutting-edge media at an Influencer Agency, it was clear smart brands are switching to social platforms in pursuit of changing consumer habits. My roles on the business & branding side of marketing allowed me to understand the monetization of content, and the complex dynamics of consumer audiences. My ultimate ability is in being able to understand target demographics, and the most effective means to reach each respective group, by choice of media via production.
